The case involved a woman who worked in a furniture plant in Mississippi who had her legs severely cut by a band saw that was used to cut foam for seat cushions. The case was a products liability case where we sued the manufacturer for making an unsafe product. After filing suit, the Defendant settled for $1,600,000 before the case went to trial. his client also received a maximum workers’ compensation settlement of $140,000.
